Seeing the scratches...

Hello All-

I have a paint booth setup in my garage. It's only about 8'x12' but it works for me. I've got flourescent lights hanging on the walls (3 on each of the long walls and 2 on the short walls and 4 on the ceiling). Seems like that should be enough light. I just finished painting a fridge and did everything in the booth (paint, buff, polish). It looked great in the booth but when I got it out in the sun I noticed some sanding marks that I couldn't see in the booth?

Should I put some sort of diffuser panels over the lights to help with the glare or something? I've got enough light, I don't know how I missed these. Any suggestions?

Stretch,
I don't know if you checked them right after you did the buffing. If you checked them the next day, alot of time scratches will come back due to the drying process.

I also use flourescent lights, but I only have one Possibly you have too much light. You want a good reflection so you can buff and see the scratches at the same time.

My saying is...

Buff until you think your done...then buff it some more!

Thanks Scott, I think I'll try turning off a few lights when I buff next and get a handheld shop light to examine things closely.

Thanks-Stretch
