shaken not stirred

Don't know if this is right or wrong. I've been mixing my paints in a plastic cup with a lid on it by shaking then pouring thru a paper strainer. Is this o.k. or am I oxygenating the paint too much.

I shake my paints before opening them. When I mix the catalyst and reducers I always stir them. I don't think it makes a difference either way.
