You don't say whether or not you're going to do some art on it or if it's gonna be one color. To be honest with you, nobody uses single stage anymore, but if you want a quick, cheap, one color paint job you can use it. I've seen some scooter trash paint jobs that were Krylon'd and buffed and they looked pretty good. If you want the nice, shiney, wet look and/or are doing some sort of art or grafix, then go with the 2 stage - base / clear systems on the market. It's the easiest to work with. Check out your local jobber and see what they have and what will best suit. My very first job was a single stage paint and it took forever to dry and twice as much clear to hide the tape edge, it looked good - just took forever. As far as the dust is concerned, Its gonna get in there one way or another. Use a good exhaust system/fresh air intake with some filters and if possible wet the floor and keep it wet through-out the spraying. Be xtra careful with pearls and metallics - I shoot them a little dry in case I get a little fiber in there then I can rub it off --- and most of all - take your time and read everything you can on this board for your own information and then use it to make your own decisions. There are many great painters on these boards with years and years of experience from the beginning of a paint job - til the end!! -- Good Luck and Happy Spraying!!! -- Bones!~
