If I'm going to only be painting motorcycle tins, can I use a touch up gun or should I purchase a regular size gun. Any information would help.

Thanks

If the bigest thing your going to do is cycle tins then yes a small gun would work for you. I have a SATA minijet that works great, I've also heard the Iwata mini hvlp is awesone as well.

You can get by on a smaller detail style gun like the minijet or Iwata Lph100 or RG3, but you will run out of paint at times. I recommend a larger gun. A DeVillbiss Finishline-3, or GTi, or Sharpe Cobalt, or Platinum are good choices. There are other less expensive models out there. Search thru this site and you will find many threads on different guns. If you can afford it, I say go with Iwata. The LPH400 is the best gun on the market in my opinion. I don't have one yet, but I've used one and it kicked butt. Lot's less overspray due to lower pressure at the gun. It layed it down smooth as glass too. But you're gonna part with around $400 to get one. I did buy a LPH100, but it only has a 400mL cup. No where near enough capacity to shoot a tank, two fenders, and saddlebags, side covers, etc. I use a Sharpe Cobalt for primers, a DeVillbiss GTi Millenium for BC/CC. But I will buy a LPH400 soon as my wife takes her eyes off the checkbook. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beat.gif
