sorta new to the field

Well I started working at a shop last October by sanding a whole 73 gmc rv with just a 6 inch da but I moved up to painting cars using basf products glasurit rm etc in january then in march i quit cause he stop paying. Well my question is how should I try to proceed to go to a other shop I know how to do filler primer bc/cc single stage tri stage jobs and blends but I didn't go to school for any of this I was taught right in the old shop.

Mention that to whoever you talk to.
Be sure and remember what brand tools you use (hopefully you have quality tools) just in case you are asked. I have interviewed quite a few people that don't even know what brand tools they have, so at least know what you use.
Remember you don't have too much experience so do not oversell yourself. Tell them you're willing to come in and work your way up. Start at prep and a couple weeks in, offer to paint something.

Have a good attitude
Show up on time.
Do quality work.
Be a good listener
Work hard
...and you'll go far.

We all started out the same way you did

Thank you for the advice and I think I have some decent tools devilbiss tekna with 1.3 needle 7e7 cap devilbiss startingline primer gun Hutchins ProFinisher DA sander and some body hammers and dollys

Sounds like you're off to a good start.

Another thing is to keep purchasing tools when you can

mud hog
mini grinder
5" grinder
air drill

Always a good impression to employers when you say you have the tools (and a roll around tool box)

cant offer any advise over what taz has, but i did see ya live in eugene. my brother lived there for a long time. seeing the pictures, i always wanted to go out there, but wasnt sure i would leave. beautiful country.

Thank you tax for the help and @ tom yup it is some beautiful country here lakes mountains the coast etc all around Eugene but no jobs Eugene hates industry

If the new boss has a different way to do it you might have to adapt and flex for his liking on some procedures. great advice in the thread.
