What is the purpose of interclear as opposed to just shooting a coat of clear? (to apply tape over base)

and I'm going to use Universal clear by Southern Polyurethane. Ever use it? they talk about setting the panel out in the sun to cure. could I use a uv lite and what would it do?

thanks

We use topcoat clearcoat if the job has thick edges and the job will sit for awhile. This way, you can sand it 'flat' anytime and reclear or do more graphics anytime.
I normally use interclear when I just need to protect other graphics and to spray over logos and minor graphics just to keep the metallic from smearing over a soild colored base. I use the topcoat clear more than I do interclear though.

Sometimes we do. We basically just spray the topcoat clear. Let it sit, resand with 600 DA, 1000 grit wet and it's ready to reclear (or add graphics)
