SPI products

Has anyone used SPI products. I am interested in using their clear coat for a deeper and shinnyer look. I hear that you spray 3 coats let set overnight, and then sand with600 grit and shoot 3 more coats. They say you can not do this with production clear like PPG 2042. What is your opinon?

I don't know about the specific product.. but if you now for some reason will be shooting 6 layers of clear.. you might aswell use any other clear for that!

I just do 1 tack coat, let set for 5min.. then lay a thick and nice looking coat..
If the surface is flat enough, i stop there.. else i hit it one more time after 15min, so it's able to flash off..

Then that's enough.. if it still isn't shiny enough, wetsand, polish, and done!
But i only do that if there's any dust or runs that needs to be removed!
