Ok the other day and old friend from highschool came over to visit, as I was scuffing the paint off a hunda to get ready for paint. He told me of some spray on scuffing that you apply befor painting. Saves on the elbow greas.

At first I thought he was talking about somekind of adhiesive premoter, but he explained that this stuff just gets sprayed on and it makes really fine micro cracks in the paint (tooth) for the new coat to grab on to. All you do is degreas the top coat. Spray on the scuffing stuff, wait an hour for it to fully dry and follow through with the new paint.

This stuff sounds great!!

But he had no idea what it was called. He used to be stationed in eorup for the militery, and an auto mech. and thats were he seened it used.

So has anybody ever heard of this stuff, or better yet, know where or how to get some?

There's been many products marketed claiming this and I've used a few over the years.Go ahead and sand it,it isn't that much work and the ones I've used aren't that great. If it's a military deal it'll cost twice what it's worth too.
