Spraying primers

I Have a question on spraying primer, are there any tricks to this? I trried shooting HOK KP21 on some fenders and a tank and it just seems that the spray pattern is not fanned out enough. I used a transtar touch up gun with a 1.0mm nozzel, I also reduced it about 10% with the appropriate reducer. Is there something else I should be using? Any help woud be appreciated. Thanks again

Allen - you might wanna try a bigger tip on your gun if you can get one - 1.0 is kinda small - Go to Lowes or Home Depot - The both carry th campbell housefeld brand and the touch up gun is only around 40.00 - and it works great - been using one for 3 years - - Bones!~

Thanks again Bones! I kinda figured it might be too small a tip. I used the gun to spray HOK planet green over a blue/purple powder coat and it spray great. How big of a nozzel would you suggest getting? I was thinking of getting a bigger gun with a 1.4 or 1.7mm tip, do you think this might be sufficient? Talk to ya L8R Allen
