Spraying silver metallic

Hi all, go easy on me, this is my first post! My (limited) experience with metallics is to lay a last light coat from slightly further away to get the flakes to sit proud and at random rather than 'sinking in' the pigment. Make sure it gets cleared before doing any further work or the flakes will flatten....

As long as you are talking about single stage, yes, this is the best way to spray a silver metallic. I normally spray it wet on my first couple coats though. Then the last coat, fog it on and work it to get the mottle out.
