Streaking Kandy

Sprayed the inside of my fenders with an HVLP gun using HOK BC and HOK Kandy over the top. Everything looked great until I turned on the exhaust fan in the homemade spraybooth. Can't run it continously as I'm in Michigan and my heaters can only do so much for so long. Anyway, after I turned the fan on, the kandy started to 'streak' where it seemed like the color flowed away from some areas. Did the fan cause this? What else could cause this? Could I get away with waiting 24hrs, scuffing and reshooting?

Do I ask too many questions?!?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Usually streaking is caused by an uneven overlap and/or hosing it on.If you watched it streak after the fan was turned on probably what happened is it had a light streak to it and when you hit the fan the air coming across it started cooling it causing it to reflow. When it's dry you can sand and rebase and candy it but it's going to be thick, starting over from scratch is best.Do a pattern check with your gun too.If it sprays a little heavier in the center you have to run a 75% overlap on the candy instead of 50%.
