Suede paint finish

After spraying on a suede finish, is it necessary to wetsand it? I haven't sparyed the paint yet but was curious if anyone had any experience with suede or matte paint finishes. I plan on shooting a BC/CC flame pattern over the suede

Not sure,need a little more info.Usually you would do your base color and flames or grafix,get the tapelines leveled out ,and then on the last clearing use the flat or matte clear for the appearance.Oh,welcome aboard /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

I am looking to have the truck in a matte black finish with nice shiny flames. The paint I have is very user friendly and forgiving so I think I can get away with just shooting the 3 coats of matte black on. AFter it cures I wanna tape out the flames, shoot on the orange paint for the flames and do the tips. Then shoot some clear over just the flames while still taped off. But this would cause a raise flame pattern and wouldn't sit nice. Although my 67 is no trailer queen, I still want it to look good
