right now I'm working on my 2004 Pontiac Bonneville GXP. have been kicking around Paint Ideas for the past year

Some of you guys might think I'm nuts for attempting this Honestly I may very well be LMAO..

What I'm loking for is the best products to do this oh yeah heres a B4 Picture

and here is a rendered picture

I'm looking for the best product (Paint) and application Base and Dull Coat ?
Also I'm thinking about some pinstriping or if at all possible maybe a pearl coat over the flat black, Another thing I thought of was some air brushed real flames..

First is Pearl possible over Flat Black ??
I will not be painting this myself but want to know the "Best" way to go about doing it.. My painter will likely try to talk me out of it guess I'll need a new painter !! lol

Other things inline for this car are a STS remote Turbo, and a custom PCM since the factory locked it.. I also have STS heads for it good for 35 HP on the stock 300 I figure it should hit 500 HP easy when its done.

My wife had a Grand Prix GXP. Very fast car. I believe it ran as fast as my old 00 TA (about 5.5 0-60). Like the Bonnevilles to. All rare cars these days!

Anyway, I heard Dupont made a black called HOT ROD black that is supposed to be good and easy to spray.
I wouldn't bother putting pearl in it (or over it). You wouldn't see this since it will be 'flat'.

Thanks TAZ, yeah I like this car and its easier to haul the kids around then in my 02 T/A.. also belongs in the 150 mph club. Its the NorthStar 4.6 that sets it apart.

Well I spoke to my painter he suggested starting out Flat Black ending in Satin black... or even gloss

I dunno

I did get a price on doing the wheels Black Chrome 100.00 each with about a 1 week turn around so that isn't bad

Didn't realize it had the Northstar in them! I think my GP GXP had a 5.3 V8...can't remember.
