can I tack cloth the base coat before i put the inner coat on Thanks Donnie

you can tack cloth any time you want, when the paint is dry of course

I usually do, but I use a bc/cc type cloth. Some of those tack rags are VERy tacky. Try to avoid those type cloths when going over the raw basecoat.

its always a good idea to completely unfold your tack cloth and play around with it for a minute before using it for the first time

try the one called surgical blue.They don't have any of that sticky material in them so you won't get any residue transfer.
