takin\' off fenders

Has anyone taken the fenders off of a VTX retro? I was wondering if you had to take off the wheels or what, b/c i was thinking about repainting my X.

I recently took the fenders of a VTX but it wasn't the retro. There wasn't a need to remove the tire but it definitely helped to have an extra set of hands, things were pretty tight.

Hoss,
We did a Retro, and yes, we had to drop the front wheel. If I remember right, you also had to turn the calipers a certain way to get the fender off. Not that big of a deal, but make sure you have some help.

We left the rear wheel on to take the rear fender off. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yay.gif
