tankless compressor

I am thinking of painting my motorcycle. a friend has a tankless compressor. Would this work or should I invest in a compressor with a tank. Also what is the minimum size I will need. Keep in mind I will only use the compressor for paint, not any air tools

Tankless usally "pulse" the air out, making it hard to spray consistently - grab a tank compressor if you can -- you'll be much happier with the finish. If your ever going to big jobs - car, truck, etc get the largest tank you find to keep up with your work. Less of an issue with motorcycle pieces, but I'd still go as large as possible so the motor isn't working overtime. - Either way get a H2O seperator to keep that water out of the paint.
