Taping Off Flames

I was wondering what is the best way to mask off the parts of the car that you don't plan on adding flames to after you mark the flames off with 1/8 in marking tape.

You can use masking tape, 3/4 or two inch depending on the gap, around the flames then use one of those $1 plastic drop cloths for the rest of the car. I used one for my old van and it worked great.
