You can purchase templates at coastairbrush.com and also many videos that will help you along the way. You will still have to learn how to freehand with the templates. You can also make your own, useing transfer tape, frisket etc. Have fun and keep on painting

Hey Art, haven't seen you in awhile.
Bill tells me the last job you did looked great.
Wish I was there to see it. Anyway, you can get the templates from Coast Airbrush and they can be reused. They are solvent proof.
The problem I see is that when you do multiple skulls they all start to look the same.
If you make your own from transfer paper or tape you can not reuse them. But those are more for custom one-of-a-kind things.
You can use anything for a template a business card works wonders.
If you have any ?'s or need any help give me a call or swing by the shop, I'll be more than happy to help.

Hey dirt good to hear from ya. I'd really like to come to the shop and get some idea's from ya. By the way the chopper is done. I painted it with a black base and HOK wild cherry flames. Its the first time I used a kandy base coat. It came out good but I thought it would be darker. Maybe not enough coats. Oh well thats how ya learn. Let me know when your at the shop and I'll bring it by or give me your e-mail address and I'll sent you some pics... Art

Hey Dirt,
Is the eagle on the oriental blue tank freehand or stencil.
I Have not seen foil used in a while. I almost thought people forgot about it.
Awesome work.

It's a little of one and a lot of the other.
What I did was drew an eagle over transfer tape, cut out the inside, lightly freehanded
the basic details, the eye, beak and some feathers. Then removed the mask and continued with freehand work. All in all it took about an hour and a half to do. Then continued with the candy process made from oriental toner and SG-100.
Thanks again for the compliment, it's always nice to hear positive remarks about ones work. It's what drives all of us painters, am I right?
