Just wanted to say thanks to this forum. Because of all the information I gained here, I had the "guts" to paint my bike. It was the first time I ever painted and I am thrilled with the results. Used PPG DBU brand and it was a pleasure to work with. I used intense blue pearl fo the base and alpine green pearl for the flames. Looks great! Thanks again!!

I have to agree. I own a print shop and my husband has a Harley that had a Krylon paint job on it (he did that after customizing it so he could get it back on the road quicker, I think). Anyway everyone kept asking me if I was going to do some graphics on it (the name of my company is CAS Graphics) so after reading everything I could find on this site, I plunged in! He had the bike painted the color I picked Dark Blue (Sikens) and a couple of coats of clear, then wet sanded. I got the graphics from www.ezflames.com and went for it. I taped and airbrushed Silver Flames on the tank, fenders and oil tank. I think it looks pretty good. I have had some wonderful comments on it, and it doesn't have any clear on it yet. Maybe I'll post a pic when I get it done. Did you post a pic of your project?
