I just wanted to say a huge thanks for all the tips in your "How to" section for the flame paint job. I just finished the last coat of clear and it looks fantastic! I could not have done it without all the useful info on your site. I used a paint called "Mirage" by Duplicolor, it is a color shifting paint, looks charcoal metallic in the shade but goes silver, green, purple, blue, gold in the sun, a rainbow effect. Then I used their green to purple Mirage for my ghost flames. The tank is sparkling like a diamond! I hate to admit it, but I used spray cans to apply it! I've already finished the fenders and have them back on the bike and NO ONE believes I did this job myself..and then they are blown away when I tell them I used spray cans to do it! Thanks again for all the great tips!
I enclosed a terrible photo taken at night...I still have to add the Bar & Shield badging in the large blank areas on the side..If anyone wants, I will attempt another pic of the finished project after buffing.
