I wanted to take some time to thank everyone who has given me advice on this board especially Scott, Rex, Ez! I have finally come to the end of painting my bike. Started wetsanding and polishing last night. By the way Scott, you may want to add some advice in the "How to" section on buffing. Don't buff your parts around anything you don't want compound "slung" on. I wasn't thinking clearly (a couple of cold ones will do that to you) and fired up my buffer and compound went everywhere. Its one of those things that you can believe you just did.

Anyway, many thanks to all and I plan on posting some pics when I get the final polishing done. You guys are the best! I'm actually considering doing some work "on the side" because I enjoyed it so much. Couldn't have done without your help.

Thanks again

Hyme, that polish "spray" all around your garage is known as the credible factor.

If any of us from the board would have shown up for a cold one and not seen that spray we'd have never believed you did it. Speaking for myself only (but I'm sure I'm not the only one) I have a spray line all over my garage wall, the inside of the garage door, and my air compressor looks like it has been in a blizzard.

I just leave it there to remind me not to do it again!

You're very welcome but I wanna see it,you better post some pix and I hope you're better than me.

Twisted, you have Popeye arms too eh?I see you have an old Seca.If I recall right they were pretty bad in their day.A buddy had one and the only thing that could touch him was an old KZ900 (other than my dirtbike in the 1/8 +/-).

Had a KZ900 too. Worst mistake was selling it. The books say it does the 1/4 in 12 with no modifications. Mine has been massaged a bit but nothing major. It is my daily rider and I use the Valkyrie for the nights out.
