tinting clear

I just marbleized and now I want to ghost in some silver flames over the purple kandy. Can I just tint some UC 35 and still have it somewhat transparent so I can still see the marble? I don't believe there is kandy silver, is there? Or, is there a way to get an aluminum/white color with HOK. Keep in mind,it's already cleared with UC35 so I don't think I can use a base color to tint with? Any help would be great. Thanks

HOK has the pearls you need but if you get the dry form mix it with SG100 instead of the UC35 and do your flames however you want-fog the edge or spray it all.Untape and clear.

Will I get a silver color with the Pearl ? I have some dry pearl, but only added it to base color w/o much luck. The customer wants a silver flame, but still marble. Also, can I go over UC with the SG? I thought you could only do it the other way around? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

The silver pearl will show up that color.Just sand the clear down with 6 or 800,mask out your flames and spray them with the pearl/SG100 mix,then reclear.Once the UC clear has dried you can come back and do just about anything over it.
