Iam a beginer painter. I will be painting my Harley fenders and new tank. Original Paint on the fenders with minor body work needed. The tank is raw steel (new). Do I need to strip the fenders also to bare metal?

You didn't say what year H-D you have, but if it's a newer Harley and the paint is original and in decent condition without any paint problems, you will be all right not to strip the fenders.
