I am doing a new paint job on a bike I inherited from my dad. Last year We went over top of the factory paint and did some indian murals. No new base coat just the murals. A harley trunk bag was added which I covered the harley factory paint with a new base coat to match the bike and did murals on it also. The Tank and fenders have been stripped but the side and trunk bags are plastic and fiberglass. The Question is can I go over the paint on these without a lot of problems or should I sand them down first?
The new plan is for Black or black cherry with some mild mural work. Kind of like the ghost rider pics. Me on the bike with a ghost of my dad riding next to me, and a POW-MIA shield on the top of the trunk bag. Probably a banner on the back with in memory of...
Usually I strip everything to bare metal and don't get a lot of plastic to paint. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
