I am rebuilding a 71 xy falcon and as i have been repairing sections i have been painting in acrylic prime. I have finaly made my mind up on a colour. Satin black in two pack. Two pack as i can get a two pack that does not shin up when rubbed or buffted. So can the two pack prime go over the acrylic prime. Also is it true that i should remove all old paint back to metal when using two pack. Thanks for any help. Cheers calvin.

I would recommend sealing the primer with reduced epoxy before color. If you rub and buff you will increase gloss on the satin/flat/matte finish.
Best way would always use 2K products IMO.

No need to strip!
I don't think Ive seen a satin black bc/cc that you can buff and it will remain satin.
And as bondofreak mention, you can just seal the paint job right before you do your bc/cc satin paint job

Yes, you can prime under the satin black. Make sure you sand everything very good.
Let us know about the wetsand and buff. I've used the "Hot Rod Black" and know that you cannot wetsand and buff it.
