I'm a beginner in the process of painting my '08 Harley Street Glide. I was thinking about two toning the bike, but am struggling with the color selection. I picked two colors that I think work together. They are Dupont's ChromaBase versions of two stock Harley colors, Anniversary Crystal Copper (brown), and Canyon Copper (orange red). But now I'm struggling with the color of the pin stripe. I've been painting test plaques but have been stuck in a second guessing circle. Please help!!!

Below are two links to two pictures of my test plaque. One photo is in the shade and one is in the sun.

Questions:

1) Currently my favorite pinstripe is the coffee colored one at the bottom of both pictures. What do you think of the pinstripe and overall color scheme?
2) I plan on spraying the pinstripe, and was thinking about making it 1/4" wide (as shown in the photos). Is 1/4" too wide?
3) Both, none pinstripe colors, have metallics/glitter, is it ok to two tone two different glitter colors?
4) Does anyone know of a three color scheme, close to this, that works?

If you chose those two colors, I would go with a medium silver pinstripe (a lighter charcoal), and a solid red.
I would also not go with a 1/4". This is too wide. I would go with a 1/8" and 1/16" or two 1/16" stripes. Both with a 1/8" between the stripes.

You can go with a metallic, metallic stripe combo.

Are you sure that is the anniversary color? In 2008, it was more of a copper color, and not a brown. Or are you trying to get the darker brown color on the 98 anniversary Harleys?

I don't recall any combos like the one you have.

Both of those colors are Dupont's, two stage, versions of 2008 colors. The aniversary copper does looks bit more brown then I recal. Maybe the original color was a three stage? Or maybe its a little off because I had the paint store mix up a minimum. I'm painting everything, so i dont need to match anything, I could use any color.

Yea, that color looks too dark for the 2008 anniversary copper color. It's supposed to look like the color on this fender.
Either the mix is off, or you didn't stir it good. That color might look a little better than the brown color you have?
