no TAZ i always use upol fast hardener 20;30 it works well for me ,have you never used it before, most of the car painter here use it ? what clear coat do you use on the other side of to pond , what's the price of it over there is it cheaper than what you are using now

well this is an add on, i just been and had a look and i have used slow hardener with it as well ,on my mate fuel tank, the last time i sprayed, i must of run-out of fast but it worked just the same, i always use it through my mini sata 3000 with a 1.2 tip but when did cars,a few years ago i used my devilbiss jga which has a 1.6 tip and it was as good if not better, i no these jga guns are old, but boy do they give a good job ,but then i am only a builder what do i know lol ,this is a quote from my web site http://odinxt500.freeforums.org/paintwork-t283-130.html page 14 from our painter it make me smile every time i read it TAZ , I hope you don't mind me putting it here, tom

I normally use UC-35 House of Kolor for the motorcycles which runs about $128 a gallon + $65 for the hardener and $50 for a gallon of reducer.
For the cars sometimes I use ShopLine and this runs about $90 a gallon plus I think about $85 for the hardener.

I haven't priced U-pol, but a guy that works for me says it runs about $90 a gallon. He says it buffs better than the ShopLine.
Shopline buffs fine, but it seems you have to wait 2 days instead of the next day.

Thanks

I haven't tried it yet. I checked with my supplier and they don't carry it. They did say the price went up quite a bit on the U-Pol clear (not for sure how they knew that though).
Plus I had a couple ShopLine 5 litre cans of clear I have to use up.

The problem we were having was that we were wetsanding the ShopLine the next day, and it was still a little bit soft. This last job, we just let sit an extra day and that made a world of difference. Getting pretty dang good with the ShopLine anyway. Thanks for all the replies.
