underside of fenders

Hey guys, I was just wondering if most of you edged the bottom side of fenders (on a bike) before painting the outside, or if you do them all at once. In the past I've always just done the whole fender, but I'm doing a tri-stage flame job and I think doing the whole thing might be tricky. Any advice would be great.

I used to set the fenders upside down on a clean towel and spray the bottom edges first. Now because if the stands that I use I can get to the bottom os the piece and paint the whole thing in one shot. Just make sure your tape goes inside enough that you don't have an overspray problem.

I still edge them even though my stands allow 99%coverage,it's just safer. After I hang them and DP them I flip them over and blow white or black singlestage on them.I scuff the inside and blow what I need to in there and then blow my last coat of clear in there. All that's left is the 4 spots the stand touch and if I need I brush a little clear on them.Overkill but they say I'm anal.
