Urethane clear on enamel

I like to use enamel acrylics because of the lack of funky fumes, but the clears don't seem to be recommended for tank and fender use (not tough enough).
Is there a method of using urethane clears over top of an enamel flame job?? or am I just dreaming?

I am assuming you are using water based acrylic paints (createx etc.) because of the comment about the fumes. I use these frequently.
If you want to use a urethane clear you should put a tack coat down and after it has had enough time to flash do the rest of the clear just as you would any other clear job.
The clear will blend the colors together nice and helps to punch ut the highlights.

Thanks for the tip, I'm kinda new at this painting thing, just a hobby, no spray booth at all, so not the most pro job, but I do love the shiny clear coats!!
