Yo!

Im getting out of the Army in 7 months, after one more tour in Iraq! Thank God!!!

I wanna get into Painting motorcycles and such, but not sure how to do it!

Is there college courses you can take in this field? I dont have much experince doing it, I need to find a starting point.

Time to find somthing I enjoy, had enough of the Military!

Thanks! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

There are college and tech school programs you can take that will prepare you for entry into the field of painting and automotive refinishing. Where are you stationed (Home base). If you're at Ft. Lewis in Tacoma, WA. Bates Tech college and Clover Park college both have great programs in this field. If you're not in the WA area, check all your local area colleges and tech schools. Also if you have GI Bill bennies, the GI bill will pay for almost all of it.

Good luck with it. Come home safe. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

Leaving the Army huh? Not gonna be a lifer? I remember that day really well, even though it was over 7 years ago.

I got one idea if it's at all possible for you to do it. Look on line for Craig Fraiser's custom painting book. Jon Kosmoski makes some good videos on custom painting and body work basics and some fairly good books on subject as well. My point is IF you can order the stuff and have it mailed to you, you can start now on your learning process. If I know the Army you may have a little down time to read. No idea on your knowledge of painting, but flamethower's idea above is something to look into when you get back to the states.

To all the troops in Iraq, thanks for getting the job down this time around. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif Though it's something WE should of done about 13 years ago! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

Be safe!
