spray your base.(white in this case).get a windex bottle with clean water.hold it about a foot above and spray lightly until droplet size is what you want.spray your next color from the side.(across the surface in one direction only).let the water dry.at this point you can call it done but i sprayed a little blue candy on there.now just clear sand and clear as usual.good luck

Flame. Im a more of a visual learner.... Can be more specific (slightly retarded lol) When you say in one direction, what exactly do you mean? Sorry such a newb but this seems like a easy yet nice addition...

well say your piece is on the stand in front of you.stand in one position and spray across the surface.don't walk around the piece spraying.this way your paint only lands on one side of the water droplets creating a shading affect.be carefully not to get close enough to blow the droplets around.hope this helps.good luck.cyas

I would love to do that look on my radio cooler, do you have any tips on how to make it not run on the side and curves? Here is what I am talking about

i would do one area at a time(uppermost).it would take a little time but i think you could do it.water seems to bead well and hold to an UN level surface.the bigger the beads the more likely it is to run.i would experiment to see.you can always wipe off the water and try again before you paint.good luck .cyas

When doing this on something other than a flat surface (or even then, to get "better" droplets), you can add a little glycerin to the water.
