I've got an old truck painted flat black and I want to add some door art that looks like it's faded or weathered. I'm going to make it a retro looking speed shop logo. "Argyle's Speed Shop" actually.
Right now I'm considering making a stencil by cutting the lettering out of a thin plastic posterboard and airbrushing the lettering with base coat. Sort of make it look like it's mostly faded out and some letters mostly gone. Still debating what to use as a logo in the center.
But have any of you guys used a different technique to get a weathered or cracked look? I'd be interested to consider other options before I dive in.
