My 68 Mustang has finally been disasembled and in a million pieces. It is currently getting completelt walnut blasted inside and out. When I get the car back I was told to seal it right away with a clear sealer to prevent rusting. What kind should I get, How will this sealer woth with my primer and paint when I go to paint it. Also I am going to weld in all the holes where the logos are at and the handles (shave). How should I attempt this. I also need a good body man to fix warping and other damage on the car. I am in Southern Cal. (Orange County). Please give me help to all these questions I need a lot of it.

Get all your metal work done first, It cant be that humid southern cali. Once that is done use a metal prep to remove any rust, oils, or other contaminents. Then epoxy prime every inch of the bare metal before any mud work.

Don't use a clear sealer,I find them worthless.First shoot a thin coat of etch primer on it then put 1 good coat of PPG's DP40 unreduced on it.Don't use anything but the green (40) because it has the highest zinc content.Grind it off where you want to weld and touch it up,and just scuff it with a red scotchbrite when you're ready to mud it up (bondo).
