can anyone let me know how long to let my clear dry before wetsanding to level out the tape lines. any help will be greatly appreciated

what kind of clear intercoat or top coat and what brand will be usefull info for someone to give you an opinion.

correct me if i am wrong, but the professional painter i used to acquire this info replied "it is better to wait a least 24 hours", "then lightly wet sand with 800 or 1200"

yes you are right if not 48 hours but if a intercoat clear is used you can sand it down with 1000 to 2000 within a few hours just use constant water flow

By adding soap to your water, it will hellp to prevent the paint dust from balling-up under the sand paper.

weazle,Normally 24hrs is good enough however,on darker colors,48 is better.Your sand scratches will come back after you buff it if you got on it too early,Jim
