wetsand?

Why do people wet sand the base coat? Is there any particular reasons.

I sand w/ 800 dry, should i wet sand?

The reason I do it wet is because the sand paper dosn't clog up as fast and I don't get all the dust as with dry sanding. You can do it either way I supppose.

I noticed the clogging issue, and was wondering if that could be one reason.

Wetsanding the base probably isn't reccomended at all,the only reason I do it sometimes is if I have a mistake,Sometimes,I'll drysand with 600 wrapped on a paint stick to fix a bug or drip or something small.I have before,wetsanded a hood and reshot more base on it without adhesion problems.jim
