What clear to use over carbon fiber.

Hey I want to clear some carbon fiber, it is made with a polyester resin.

What would the best clearcoat be over it? Would a 2k eurathane work well?

i would just recommend calling a company that makes carbon fiber hoods and ask them what they use.

I've had PPGs 2042 stick as long as you scuff it bood,but be careful of tanks.A friend wanted a paintball tank done and someone else did it.Came out great but you're not supposed to disturb the factory finish on pressurized fiber tanks.

Calling the manufacturer is not an option since I made these parts myself. I think I am going to try some HOK clear and see how well it works. If it doesn't work out another idea I have had is to hit it with some intercoat clear and then do the eurathane so the clear will have something to bond to.
