What color stripes would go well on this bike

I just painted a tank and fenders for a guy and he wants 2 stripes on the tank/fenders.

I suggested a thicker black stripe, followed by a thinner silver stripe?

Any suggestions?

Looks like candy apple in the pics. How 'bout
Silver and charcoal, then a few coats of candy apple over them, then one more over the complete part, then clear. Maybe outline the stripe in white (before candy) so when the graphics are topped with candy, the outline will be a brighter red

...just a thought!

.Just kidding. I like scotts idea.Gives it a subtle stripe instead of a bold one that stands out.
How are the stripes going on?

I was going to scuff it down with 2K grit, tape off the stripes, then lay down the color, followed by entire recoat of clear.

Stripes??? Stripes??? This ain't the "Stripes" board. Flame it! You've got a perfect base for a nice set of chartreuse flames you can shadow with dark green. Also, those walls behind your hanging parts look awfully bare to me. Flame 'em! With that white base you could put a nice set of USA flag flames on them. Is it hot in here? I'm burning up.

I've tried to talk the owner of the bike into some flames, but he prefers the conservative approach.

The Stripe on the tank will basically create a panel on each side.

The fender will sort of do the same thing, except they will panel the tops of the fenders
(Only a little bit of it will be seen on the rear fender)

I like flamethrowers idea. I'm somewhat of a flame addict myself

. Irecently found flamed house key blanks at a local Lowes hardware store. I had to have one. They had butterflys and flowers and the stars and stripes too. But the flames, that was the imortant one, They had one with flames.

By the way I meant which direction will the stripes be. Such as straight down the sides or top, or curved around on the sides. Sorry for the confusion.
