What scuff pad to use?

For intercoat clear, what 3M scuff pad should I use? They have a gray that they say is for bc/cc and they have a gold that they say is for i/c. Which to use?

I personally use a red one, they say it's like 600 grit paper. HOK says to use 500 grit paper to scuff the IC. But, a gray one would work well too.

color over red, clear over grey, whites a waste of time.never saw a gold one.

I haven't seen the gold ones here in Podunk either.I use a grey on everything but jambs,and using it wet will let it cut quicker and finer.I thought the greys were equivolent to 600 but I never really paid attention.The only use for the white ones is if you have to scuff a high metalic decal to clear over and you think you might get crried away with a grey.Other than that they're OK for scrubbing ground in dirt out of your hands.
