What type of equipment are you using?

I use a DeVilbiss GTI HVLP gun for base coats and clear coats, a cheap chinese Sharpe knock-off for primers and an Iwata Eclipse airbrush for my graphics. The only gun I would change is the GTI as I am having technique problems with the HVLP. I have a hard time giving enough time for flow out and leveling and tend to apply too much material (sags and occasional run). I don't spray very often so it will just take some time and practice. It is hard to get used to the larger droplets.

Um... You know, it has been five months since I have used it, I'm not sure what size tip I have in it. It came with three tips and I have the smaller of the three in it, but I may try another even smaller tip. I'm thinking that will help with the atomization. What do you think?

Thanks tooter, I'l try that. One other problem I have and think is contributing to the poor atomization is I have an air system running through my shop. With the extra length of the lines, I don't think I'm getting enough air volume. I am revamping it so I can have a good air supply right where I spray.
