Hi there, I am planning my first flame job on a new gas tank for my Sportster and I am wondering whats the best way to do it. I hope my end result will give me a black tank, with two colour of flames. One set of flames will be direct on top of a black base coat. The paint for the flames is a colour changing paint, so I can just tape the flame pattern out and spray, however I would like the other set of flames on a red base coat for a different effect, and this is where I seek anyones guidance. Will it be ok to spray the red onto black, then the colour change paint and lastly the clearcoat, or will that give me to thick a paint, and destroy its self when I lift the tape. As you will see I need help, please help
