My friend did a flame job for me awhile back and I have 3 different clears left. UC35,UFC35 and SG 100. I know the SG is intercoat and the others are top coats. Do I need both top coat clears? Also, can I put a UK over the intercoat clear after the tape outs? I thought thats what we did before but, I need to double check. And for multiple tape outs, do I need to inter coat between the different colored flames? Thanks for any info. The board has a great help to a beginner!

The information I am giving is based on the HOK Tech and Product Info Sheets.

If you use HOK Marblizer it must be cleared before applying the next color. You can use the SG-100 as the clear, then apply a urethane kandy (UK). Therefore, you should be able to spray UK Kandy over the SG-100.
See this page:
Auto Body Supply; House of Kolor Marblizer Tech Sheet

You can use the UC-35 as the final clear if you wish. The UFC-35 is for a ultra high gloss, and is applied over the UC-35 as an option.

Thanks! That's what I did and the job turned out great for a rookie!

Just for future knowledge, if you are going to use both the UC35 & UFC35 you need to let the UC35 cure and wetsand or scuff it before you shoot the UFC35. I called the tech line and the guy from HOK told me that the UC & UFC are different in the way and time it takes to cure. He said if you shoot the UFC without letting the UC cure there might be problems with the outcome. He said the UFC cures faster and then would not let the UC cure properly. HTH

I used only the UFC. Hope it does't become a problem in the future.Seems to be fine even though I didn't use the UC under it.

It'll work fine. The UFC is a really high gloss flow coat. You can use the UC35 under it and it works well too you just shouldn't shoot both without letting the UC cure.
