I'm new at ghost flames, I've tried several different combinations but they are all too dark, or too light.
After putting down a black base, I put down 2 coats of HOK pearl (white/silver) then put down 3 coats of brandywine candy and it either turns pink, or does not stand out, how do I achieve a very visible flame in sunlight but no flame out of light.

Thanks

Working with candy is tricky. Your 3 coats might be equivilent to 6 of my coats.
Try using light coats over the pearl. Also, be sure you have enough coats of the pearl so it's as bright as can be without going overboard. Then the brandywine candy will have a good reflective base. Then apply the candy in thin coats until you achieve the color you want. You're not ever gonna get a flame that's completely invisible out of sunlight using this style. For that kind of job you'd be better off with a dry pearl mixed with clear directly over the black such as a blue pearl. See attachment.
Good luck,
Phil

Phil's right. Your pearl may not be on heavy enough...just try a silver metallic instead. Your first coats will be pink, then it will turn the candy brandywine effect you are looking for.
