Ive been having problems with kandy bleeding throught the fine line, not bad but you can see it if you look close. Is there anyway to prevent this?

If it's HOK they have a bleeder sealer to prevent this on certain colors. It'll bleed through topcoat clear too if you don't use it from what I understand.

lol how did I know Rex would answer this. Thats not really the problem though. I have seen it do what your talking about but Im haveing a problem with it bleeding through the plastic tape line. Its almost like the tape doesnt have a good seal /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Do you mean it's seeping under the edge of the tape more or less?Actually I'm surprised I'm still here,I had the sh!t kicked out of me at work today and planned on a few beers for a good nite's sleep but now it's quite a few beers and an hour in this forum alone, yeehaa /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gifIt should have but I didn't see you come back after going thru another forum so I sat on the Harley forun for over an hour,I did sleep well though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gifWhat tape are you using?Fineline shouldn't do that but those crepe finelines or masking tapes will.Well,I should say the good finelines wont, that damn blue 3M can and according to the rep 3M pulled the plug on revamping their line because there's too much competition in that area and they're more concerned with the other products since these tapes are a limited niche.

Oh well no hurry, I think Ive been thinking about this job too much. Ive been putting it off too long now.I guess I should just do it and get it over with!
Yep its the Blue 3m fineline. Whats the best brand to use for tight curves?

For tight curves anything but the blue.I'm limited to the 3M greenlocallyso I use 1/8" but there's others available at the paintstores and online,I just happen to live in Podunk and have to drive or order good stuff. The green works good enough for me with what I do.
