i'm talking about the paper that sticks. you can cut out designs or mask up and cut out your flames.

Hoss, there's many places to buy what you're looking for. I use the 6" rolls a lot. The stuff will stick well and over curved areas you just push it down hard and the creases still stick fine. You can cut out your flames or anything right out of this stuff and it leaves no residue behind.
The attached image shows a hardbag with the bottom masked with the 12" stuff.
Any search for "roll mask" should help.
Good luck,
Phil

Coast air brush or a sign suppy store. Auto mask is what they sell through coast I think, but its the same thing they use to apply decals. You can that and also get spray mask from a sign supply place, but spray mask costs alot more. I have both and if I taped out the design the paper stuff works great to masking the rest of it. If I'm cutting the design out I prefer the spray mask (its a solvent resistant vinyl that is removeable).

Tap Industries sells liqued latex for $13.00 a quart or $48.00 by the gallon. I've used it for a liqued mask and it works great. Requires about four coats and is better if sprayed on after thinning with water. Be carful with the razor blade when cutting the flames out!......Mo
