Wiring reinstalation question

I just finished my first paint-job, thanks in no small way to this board and the vast amount of information available on it. Thanks everyone.

I'm about to put the bike back together, but I'm not sure how to re-attach the wire harness to the inside of the rear fender. It runs through a flat-sided rubber "tube" type thing that was originally stuck to the inside of the fender. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can stick it back on? Contact cement? Some sort of two-sided tape?

I just use 3M weatherstrip adheasive, never had any problems.
