Wrinkles

Painted a dresser also its bags and tour pack about 2 months ago. Now the bags and tour pack are beginning to wrinkle. Used PPG paint system. Was I supposed to use a special primer on the bags? The sheet metal is still smooth and shiny

The glass parts usually turn out weird but wrinkling is a bit extreme.What did you use and do exactly?Any lacquer products like primers used?

I said I used PPG but I didn't. I used DuPont Chroma Base System with Dupont 421-30 fast dry primer surfacer with Chroma Base coat and appropriate clear coat

I don't know DuPont anymore so I'm no help.Can that surfacer be one that shouldn't be based over directly?

All I know is I bought the whole system at one time straight from the paint store. I used only what they gave me for that system.

I'd go back and talk to the paint store but usually they are guessing when it comes to problems.If they don't know see if they can set you up to see the rep when he stops in town,if he's good he'll know exactly what went wrong.
