There are pictures earlyer in this thread of what it looked like. I did 2 things wrong to get that to happen 1st I didn't shoot it wet enough, I had the gun set wrong, and 2nd I shot it in the garage with no fans and the overspray laid back down on the tank and bigger areas. The side covers and front fender are small enough it didn't have time to pick up the overspray. After I sanded everything out (again) and set the gun air and material the right way, took the time to set up my paint booth and fans it turned out great. Also pictures earlyer in this thread. After the last of 3 wet coats it set up nice and hard. I decided I wanted to put on a clearcoat. Thankfully someone here pointed out to me that a clearcoat would make it shine and look like I used a gloss black. Not what I wanted. I wanted the flat or matt black look with no gloss. I bought a quart of clearcoat and started dulling it down until I got the look I wanted. I shot 1 tact coat on everything and turned around and put 2 more full wet coats on. Worked good other than it took several days for it to cure, I think the clearcoat must dry fron the inside out. I kept the exhaust fans running for 2 days to keep any dust from sticking and it dried out just fine. Now all I want to do is find a wax or some kind of compound to cover the clear coat and call it good.Sounds like you got enough paint on it. Possibly moisture got to it? Moisture doesn't make it fuzzy, but it does give it a dull velvet type appearance.
OR, like tomsteve said, it could be orange peel or possibly even wrinkling
A pic might help.
